 Elang Jawa or Java Eagle

Java Eagles (Spizaetus bartelsi) is one medium-sized hawk species endemic (native species) in Java. These animals are considered identical with the symbols of the Republic of Indonesia, Garuda. And since 1992, the bird was designated as the mascot of the rare animals of Indonesia.
Physically, the Eagles stand out as much as Java has crested 2-4 strands reaching 12 cm in length, because it is also called Eagle Eagle Kuncung Java. Adult body size (from tip of beak to tip of tail) approximately 60-70 inches, dark brown fur on the back and wings. Bercoretan dark brown stripes on the chest and abdomen dark brown thick. The tail is striped black and brown.

When flying, similar to Java Eagle Changeable Hawk (Spzaetus) form of light, but tend to appear more brownish, with a belly look darker, and slightly smaller size. In a sense, this voice sounds similar to the Changeable Hawk although the difference is quite clear in his tone.
Java eagle bird populations in the wild is estimated to live 600 rats. The World Conservation Agency of the United Nations mengategorikannya endangered. Through Presidential Decree No. 4 of 1993 on Wildlife and National Interest, The Government of Indonesia has confirmed Javanese Eagle as vice aerospace endangered species.
