Taman Safari Indonesia
Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI), located in the village of Cibeureum, Kec. Cisarua, Kab. Bogor, West Java, was built in 1980. The location is now occupied, a former tea plantation that is no longer productive. The land area of 138.5 ha by the Local Government handed over to the Oriental Circus for its management.
Taman Safari Indonesia is located in the buffer zone of Mount Gede National Park Pangrango and at an altitude of 900-1800 above sea level, as well as having an average temperature of 16-27 degrees Celsius, has been designated as National Tourism by Minister of Tourism, Posts and Telecommunications, (deceased) Mr. Soesilo Soedarman, and inaugurated the Institute of Ex-situ Conservation and Breeding Centre for Endangered Wildlife in Indonesia by the Minister for Forestry Mr Hasyrul Harahap on March 16, 1990.
