Kintamani Beach Bali

In the mountainous region around Kintamani, there is a crater lake of Mount Batur with a deep and natural hot springs that exist in Toyabungkah. The cool mountain air with views over the whole course, as beautiful with the existence of several important temples, which have been made Kintamani become one of the places that do not forgotten the Bali tourist.

Soon enough, while I was busy juggling with my camera to capture the spectacular view of Mt Batur, I was already surrounded by a few street taunts trying to sell from cheap t-shirts to batik sarongs. Just as I would politely decline the price tags of temptation, the vendors were short of chasing me down with their arms filled with the cheap merchandise. Indeed, they mean business, pun intended.

15 minutes later, still with incessant taunting that seemed to never abate, the only respite I could found was at an overpriced restaurant which strangely served buffet-only spreads. Here, the taunts were gone, only because there were a number of restaurant staff guarding the entrance door. The food was terrible at best, and while boasting the open-air view of the volcano and Lake Batur, it was already somewhat jaded.

Indeed, at Kintamani, I was trapped between the rock and the hard place - the terrible street vendors pushed me into a disappointingly expensive and insipid buffet lunch.

Mount Batur is one of a small volcano, but the location was in the midst of a large crater 14 km in diameter. In addition, Mount Batur adjacent to the crescent-shaped Batur Lake which is surrounded by high walls of the crater edge. Steepness crater size will make you imagine the gigantic eruption of Mount Batur which happened ten thousand years ago.

 Kintamani Mount Batur is still active today as Balinese people who still remember the explosion that happened in 1917 is where eruptions have taken thousands of lives and destroyed hundreds of houses Old Batur village at the bottom of Batur caldera. If you have more time and like adventure or photography, it helps you stay in the area around Mount Batur and the next day to make a climb of Mount Batur, or east of the caldera of Mount Batur Batur and enjoying the beautiful sunrise that emerged from the back of Mount Rinjani in Lombok. Kintamani tourism object can be achieved approximately 2 hours drive from Denpasar or Kuta. You can also skip when you inging trip to Lovina.

Trekking & Hiking Tours in Mount Batur or Batur Caldera

If you have time enough and liked little adventure, it's good you took spend a day at Toya selajutnya Bungkah to climb to the summit of Mount Batur to see the sunrise.
